Then model the activity, acting out a dialogue like this:
A: Hello, I'm Collin Benn.
B: Pleased to meet you. I'm Sarah Cole.
A: Are you English?
B: Yes, I'm from Birmingham.
A: Who do you work for?
B: I'm a journalist for the Daily News.
A: Oh really? I work for a newspaper too.
Ask the students to work in groups of between four and ten and give a business card and table to each student.
Explain that they have to complete the table by introducing themselves to one another. They also have to find someone who works in the same field or does the same job as they do.
Go through the answers with the whole class by asking students to introduce the person with whom they found something in common.
FOLLOW-UP
