MATERIALS AND PREPARATION

Mentally divide your class into groups of three or four.
Copy and cut up one set of ENTERTAINMENT CARDS per group.
HOW TO USE THE GAME
Divide your class into groups of three or four.
Give each group a set of entertainment cards.
Put the cards in a pile face down on the desk.
They should take it in turns to pick up a card from the pile.
The card shows what they did last night.
They should not show it to the others.
The object of the game is to try to guess what the player holding the card did last night.
The other players must ask questions: 'Did you ...?' until they guess correctly.
Then it is the turn of the player who guesses correctly to pick up a card.
DEMONSTRATION
Demonstrate how to play by picking up a card and asking the class, 'Guess what I did last night.'
Prompt them to ask, 'Did you ...?'
Answer, 'Yes, I did' or 'No, I didn't.'
When they guess, name a student in each group to take the first card from their pile.
Get them to carry on in groups.
CLASSROOM LANGUAGE
(pick a card) What did I do last night?
Can you guess?
Ask me, 'Did you ...?'
(when they have guessed)
Here are some cards.
Put them on the desk.
Who's going to begin?
X,Y,Z, take a card.
Look at it but don't show it to the others!
Can you guess? Ask, 'Did you ...?'
OK. Off you go.
